What made you choose a career in nursing?
I am a Care Giver, I like challenges and the rewards. Nursing was truly the only choice that fit me.
What Do You Attribute Your Success To?
The challenges I have faced, my observation skills, continuing education units and programs and my passion for taking care of others. The RNS and Physicians that I worked with were amazing, my questions were answered and explained, my concerns were listened to and discussed. I learned so much and developed trusting working relationships.
How do you make a difference in the lives of your patients?
I have found that honesty, knowledge, compassion and sincerely treating patients/residents and family as individuals have resulted in positives feelings, even when the outcome of the patient/resident hasnt been favorable. There was always a thank you for the care you have given.
